Mr. Aref was reportedly born into a family of diplomats in Kabul, Afghanistan but was raised and educated in the United States. Since graduating from college, Mr. Aref has gained extensive knowledge about poker by becoming a professional poker player who has played in several major events throughout California and Nevada.

In addition to his experience as a professional poker player, Abdul Rahman Aref gained sales, management and marketing experience while working in car dealerships and in the insurance industry and was one of the factors which led to Golden Spirit pursuing him for his credentials in the marketing arena, as it is expected that they will serve and benefit Golden Spirit’s poker-related merchandising.
